Housekeep helps you track what is in your home — food, budget, emergency supplies and health goals. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. Housekeep is operated by DevAI Corp.
Most of what Housekeep knows never leaves your phone. Your inventory, shopping list, recipes, meal plans, budget entries, emergency plan, saved items and app settings are stored locally on the device.
Deleting the app deletes this local data. It is not recoverable by us.
With your permission, Housekeep uses the camera to scan barcodes, receipts, product labels and expiry dates.
When you use an AI scan, the captured image is sent to Google’s Gemini API through our server to read the text in it, and the result is returned to your device. Images are sent for that single request and are not stored on our servers.
Housekeep’s optional AI features (photo and receipt scanning, voice entry, recipe and meal-plan generation, the waste coach, budget insights and the household briefing) are powered by Google’s Gemini API, which we reach through our own Cloudflare server. Google is the third party that processes this data.
Depending on the feature you use, the content sent for that single request may include: the photo or PDF you scan, the words you dictate, and relevant details such as your pantry and shopping-list item names, meal plans, dietary preferences, appliances, and budget or spending figures (amounts and category totals, never card numbers). Before your first AI request the app asks for your permission, and you can decline.
This data is sent only to generate your result and is returned to your device. It is not stored on our servers, not sold, and not used for advertising or profiling.
With your permission, the microphone is used only when you choose to add items by voice. Speech recognition is performed by your device’s operating system.
With your permission, Housekeep uses your approximate location once to identify which natural hazards apply to your region, so emergency planning is relevant to where you live.
Your location is used to derive a region and is not continuously tracked, sold, or used for advertising.
If you create or join a household, the data you choose to share — inventory, shopping list, meal plan, and related household records — is synchronised through Google Firebase (Firestore) so other members of your household can see it.
Anyone with your household invite code can join and see shared data. Share it only with people you trust, and leave the household to stop syncing.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.
We receive the status of your subscription — active, expired, trial — so the app can unlock paid features.
Google Gemini (AI recipe, receipt and label processing), Google Firebase (household sync), Cloudflare (our server), RevenueCat (subscription status), Open Food Facts (public barcode and product lookups), and Apple or Google for payments.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
If you allow notifications, Housekeep uses them to remind you about expiring food, bills and emergency-supply rotation. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
Local data lives on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Household data synced to Firebase remains until it is deleted or the household is removed.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at admin@devaisuite.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Housekeep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
If this policy changes we will update the date above and publish the new version at this address.
